Dear Parents and Supporters of Catholic
Education, The Governor imposed an MTA payroll tax on all employers. This tax was also
placed on schools. However, it was also decided to reimburse the public schools
for the tax paid.
Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer is a strong supporter of ensuring that ALL of the
schools, public and private (religious) be included in this reimbursement
process. She and the other members of the State Assembly included a proposal in
the Assembly’s budget reimbursing all schools.
However, the MTA payroll tax reimbursement was not included in the Governor’s
original proposal or in the Senate’s budget nor did the Senate pass the separate
legislation. We urge you to take a couple of minutes to contact the the Governor’s office at
518-474-8370, Senator Sampson, Majority Conference Leader and Senator Carl
Kruger. Sponsor of S.8404, to express your support for the passage of this bill.
The Senate switchboard telephone number is 518-455-2800. Tell them you support reimbursement of the MTA tax to religious schools as well
as to public schools. They will then ask you for your zip code. That’s all you
have to do. You will help keep additional money in the school for school use
instead of giving it to the state.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS REGARDING TUITION PAYMENTS
ALL PARENTS MUST PAY TUITION THROUGH F.A.C.T.S. TUITION PAYMENT PLAN WHICH RUNS FROM AUGUST THROUGH MAY WITH ONE EXCEPTION - PLAN *A
Plan *A – 1 full payment (deadline already passed for Plan A) receives $100.00 discount.
Plan B – 3 payments will be electronically withdrawn by FACTS on the 5th or 20th August, November and February.
Plan C - Electronic withdrawal from checking or savings account every month for 10 months on the 5th or 20th of the month from August until May. You will receive a different monthly invoice from FACTS.
Plan D – Monthly invoice from FACTS for August through May.
Plan E - Pay by credit/debit card thru FACTS. To enroll call FACTS 800-233-1096
or visit their website for more information.
PARENTS If you are already on the FACTS Plan you will automatically remain on the plan. If you have any changes you must come to the school office for a new FACTS form.
If the FACTS form is not returned, you will be automatically put on Plan D (Invoice).
